There have been times when we've lived thousands of miles apart after a childhood of living across the hall. My toddler self once got in trouble at daycare for "rescuing" her from her crib so she could nap in the "big bed" with me. It's always better to be close.She's my bestie and as adults we now live 5 blocks away from each other. And I have to love L.A. for making Teen my neighbor.
